Dollar-paid remote work is not one job. The proof changes. Build the sample for the title you are actually applying to, then take it off the resume for a different title. Someone who claims four careers at once looks like they have not chosen a life yet.
Customer support. Proof is a help article you rewrote, before and after, and one hard customer you handled without escalating the tone. A good week is resolved problems and fewer repeat contacts.
Design. Proof is a case study with the constraint, the options you rejected, and what shipped. "I love Figma" is not a case study.
Operations. Proof is a checklist someone else can run, and a result you are allowed to share: time saved, errors that stopped, a step you removed. If you cannot share the number, describe the step.
Engineering. Proof is a change you can link, a test you added, or an incident you shortened. The packet is in the tech proof article.
The overlap is written communication and finishing. Those are also the skills in remote work skills employers look for.
How to choose before you collect four portfolios
Read three live postings in each field. Do not apply yet. Write the weekly tasks in your own words. If you cannot, that field is not this month's search. Then build the one sample that posting would recognize. For support, rewrite a public help page you have personally suffered through. For operations, write the checklist for a process you already run. For design, one flow with the constraint at the top. For engineering, one small tool with setup instructions.
Read the sample on your phone. If it needs you standing there to explain it, it is not ready.
Career Path AI can help you name the target if you are stuck between two. After you name it, stop editing the other resumes for two weeks. The job that pays you in dollars and lets you close the laptop is a specific title, not a mood of "remote work." Search that title on remote jobs.
